I
do not have litters often. I can, however, help you find a
reputable breeder who will provide you with a healthy puppy
that meets your wants and needs. I will also be happy to help
you with any logistical information in regards to obtaining
a puppy from a location that is too far to drive.
In the event that we have a litter of pups planned or on the
way, the following terms apply.
Purchase
price of pups begins at $900 plus any shipping charges and
supplies. Top show prospects are reserved for show homes only.
All sales are final and by written contract. Buyers have one
week from date of acquisition to have the pup examined by a
veterinarian. If any problem is discovered at that time, a
full refund of the purchase price (excluding any shipping costs)
will be given upon return of the pup with a letter of explanation
from the examining veterinarian.
A $100 deposit will reserve a pup until the age of 7 weeks. Deposits
are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and are acknowledged
immediately, with follow-up upon the birth of a litter. Deposits
apply in full to the purchase price. Deposits are refundable
only if I am not able to satisfy your needs in a pup!
Payment in full is expected at the time of acquisition of the
puppy. I do not accept personal checks. Payment must be made
with a bank check, money order, or cash. I also have a PayPal
account. I will retain the AKC registration application of the
puppy until the bank check (if method of payment) clears, and
I have the signed contract returned.
You may elect to fly to me, pick the puppy up, and fly home with
it in a carry-on at 8 weeks, but not before. Otherwise, I ship
puppies by air, after the age of 10 weeks. In the event that
I ship by air alone (without its new owner), I will use a direct
flight and a priority air cargo service if available, such as
NorthWest Airlines VIP service, American Airlines Priority Parcel,
Delta Dash, or Alaska Gold Spike service. If priority service
is unavailable, I ship COD by Air Cargo. I prepay Priority services
and payment must be sent to me in advance. I can ship in a buyer-owned
kennel sent to me in advance, in a small shipping kennel (size
200 Vari-Kennel) returned to me at the buyer's expense, or in
an adult-sized kennel which I can purchase and bill you for (please
call or email me for sizes and costs.) If the airline or the
buyer requires a health certificate (most do), I bill the buyer
at my cost. I do not charge for transportation to Boston, MA,
Manchester, NH or Portland, ME airports.
When shipping a puppy, I will send the buyer two unsigned copies
of my sales contract. Upon receipt of pup and any necessary veterinary
examination, the buyer will sign both copies of the contract
in front of a Notary, and return them to AnamCara with payment
in full, including any additional expenses. I will return one
signed copy of the contract to the buyer, along with an AKC registration
application for the pup.
I do not make any explicit guarantees. My breeding practices
are outlined in my [Breeding
Goals]. If a genetic defect appears following the initial
examination and that defect renders the pup unsuitable for the
purpose(s) for which it was purchased (hunting dog, show dog,
breeding stock, field competition, etc.) I will replace the dog
with another puppy of similar quality. I do not refund monies,
nor contribute financially to any medical procedures or treatment.
I do not insist upon the return of the original dog if the owner
wishes to keep him or her. I do insist on placement with me first
with registration signed over to me. I will provide a replacement
puppy at a time appropriate for myself and the owner(s), be it
at once, or in subsequent years, subject to availability. All
efforts are made to ensure healthy puppies when the litter is
planned, arrives, and sent to new homes.
All prospective buyers must submit an application before I will
consider selling them one of my puppies. No exceptions.
